Damn it. Did I just make a HUGE mistake?
M/WO18.
Traded my golden Hammer of Slaying (18-34, +4 Armor, +12% over 50hp) for a golden Vampiric Hammer (18-34, +7 Armor to Fire, +13% over 50hp vs. Elemental, +3hp but -1 hp regen) and $516gold.... Looks like it was a bad idea, 470 seconds into a mission, I die, didnt know it would eat up 1hp/second.. The only way I could counter this is by using Mending, but with Mending on I can hardly use any energy and it really sucks.. Is there anything else I can do to counter this? |

What you could do is equip another weapon when you're not fighting and just before melee switch to the Vampiric one.

Minus to energy isn't bad if your weapon is also + energy per hit.

Uhm, is it just me, or can't you just switch to another weapon when not fighting?
Only takes the press of a button (F2 or whatever). Also, one health "pip"=2 health/sec One energy "pip"=1/3 energy/sec So you actually lose 2 health/sec, not one. _Zexion |

The real use for vampiric weapons is to boost your damage- 3 life steal per hit basically adds 3 to your weapon damage. However, you'll either have to use a skill to provide health regen(like mending) or switch weapons when you're not attacking to prevent the life degeneration from killing you.

i have full mending now, +3 regen, so it cancels out the vampiric -1 and actually becomes normal, mending is kinda waste since it kills your energy regen but luckily im using gladiator armor +7....
